Abattoir, U.S.A.! is a short film directed by Aria Dean, for which I constructed, animated, and fully realized the project in Unreal Engine 5, ultimately rendering it into an 11-minute film. Unreal was chosen not only as the toolkit I am most fluent in but also to allow for potential real-time capabilities in future screenings. My work shaped the visual language, animation, and technical execution of the film, which premiered at The Renaissance Society in Chicago, was featured at the New York Film Festival, and has screened in Los Angeles and at The Power Plant in Toronto. The work is also included in the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) permanent collection.
